2012 RHS BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP
Our Dates have been set for our Summer Basketball Camp and we are excited to begin our 4th summer!! It is a lot of fun seeing all the kids grow and mature each and every year along with seeing their basketball skills get better. The grades below are indicating what grade your son will be going into in the Fall of 2012. Once again we will be at Roosevelt High School and make sure you get your Camp Brochure in plenty early to reserve a spot!!!

B.E.S.T. - Rough Rider Basketball's Effective Shot Training Program
We are once again having The B.E.S.T Shooting Program come to RHS for the 4th summer in a row. I TRULY BELIEVE this program, if the kids put the time in over the summer, will separate them from others who don’t choose to do the program or put in the practice time. For one hour a week for six weeks, the instructors work with the kids on the proper technique to shoot the ball, ball handling, passing, and footwork drills, and give them detailed homework assignments they need to get done each week. If the kids do exactly what the homework says, they will see a mass improvement in the way they shoot the ball and have confidence in playing. Brandon Woudstra will once again be our Instructor!!! Right now we are currently at Memorial each and every Monday but may change back to RHS depending on the Summer School schedule and if we do in fact hold a P.E. section.

SUMMER POWER PROGRAM OPPORTUNITY
Each summer Sanford comes over to RHS and runs a Speed, Agility, adn Plyometric Program that last from June 4th through August 2nd, 3 days a week. Deadline is June 1st.

June 12th - South Dakota State Satellite Camp at RHS - 6:00-9:000pm
Cost per player - $25 - Grades 9th through 12th
June 15th and 16th - Sioux Falls Christian Shootout - Sophomore Group - SCHEDULE
Cost per player - $20
June 16th and 17th – SMSU Team Camp and Team Camping Trip – 2 Varsity Teams - Plan on bringing Sleeping bag, tent, and swimsuit :-)
June 22nd through 24th – Mankato/Mr. Basketball Tournament – 1 Varsity Team
June 23rd - USD Team Camp - 2 Teams - 1 Varsity Team (made up of Juniors and Sophomore's) and 1 JV Team (made up of Sophomore's and Freshmen)

- RHS Carwash - date to be determined - have done it the past two years

July 23rd through the 26th – If anyone is interested – Northwestern Camp in Orange City, Iowa. I work this camp every summer and is a great camp to get away and have some fun. It is an individual camp but anyone from RHS will be placed on the same team and coached by me throughout the week. Few guys attended last summer and they had a blast, Levi Ludens, Devon O’Brien, Mason Sundvold, Tyler Hofer, and Corey Brewers.
